As soon as we stepped on the Massachusetts Maritime Academy campus, we were amazed at the possibility of camera angles, scenes, and opportunities. It's such a beautiful campus on Cape Cod in South Dartmouth, MA. You can check out their website at

Twin Lens Media was commisioned by the advancement department over at MMA to produce a video for their big fundraising event down in Houston. Our job was to show the selling points of the school and make their cadets look desirable to any hiring company. As we walked around the campus, we realized that our job to put the school in a good light was already done for us. All of the cadets were extremely well behaved and the facilities were immaculate. We basically walked around the campus, set up the shot, and rolled the camera.

We used quite a bit of equipment in this video. Here's a list of it for anyone who is curious.

Nikon D800, Sony NEX VG-30, Nikon lenses ranging from the 14-24mm f/2.8 to the 105mm VR f/2.8, the Sony 18-200mm PZ f/3.5-6.3.

For accessories, we used: the Zacuto EVF with Z finder, Ikan Follow focus unit and rail system, Manfrotto video tripod, Manfrotto video monopod, Rhino camera gear slider, Glideshot 4 foot camera jib, and the Glidecam HD - 2000. To light the interviews, we used Alzo Video fluorescent daylight balanced lights. We love them because they're bright, have a great color balance, and don't get hot.
